The Wifery Parasite ID & Strategic Management Workshop

This workshop is designed to help livestock farmers identify the parasites their livestock have (livestock, poultry, rabbit, horse) by examining microscopic worm eggs and internal parasites in the manure sample. After the worm eggs have been identified, The Wifery team will lead a discussion on the prevention and treatment of parasites, including all solutions from certified organic to pharmaceuticals. The FAMACHA method will be demonstrated on a goat. 

What Participants Will Receive ($225 value)

  • 1 compound microscope
  • 1 fecal floatation kit (supplies to examine 5 manure samples)
  • Fecal analysis on up to 3 manure samples that you bring from your animals
  • Concrete, evidence-based strategies for treatment and prevention, discussion and handouts

The cost of the workshop is $50 and pre-registration and payment is required. Class size is limited to 20 participants, with a minimum of 10. Registration will close August 14.

Participants must bring your own food for lunch. Water will be provided as a beverage. Handwashing station and port-a-potty onsite.

Additional Fecal floatation kits will be available for sale at the workshop with a 10% discount for $45.
